As a result of the increasing competitive pressure in the capital goods industry, many companies over the past few years have started to systematically market services in addition to designing and developing innovative products. However, after gathering initial experiences, uncertainty has emerged in many organizations during execution of a service strategy: Will it indeed be possible to exploit the expected potential?
The controlling of industrial services should therefore allow targeted control of service strategy execution or the new related business fields. In addition, suitable instruments must be available.
